In the announcements of many jacket manufacturers, we often see such a notification from the jacket manufacturer: the thickness of the jacket layer produced is unqualified. How does the thickness of the specific insulation layer fail to affect the cable? What kind of sheath is qualified?
The jacket is the appearance of the cable. The appearance requirements are smooth and round, uniform gloss, no deviation from the core (no more than the specified deviation), no mechanical damage, flattening, no visible debris, bubbles, trachoma, obvious particles, bamboo Knot shape, twist shape, etc. In addition to meeting the above quality requirements, the thickness of the sheath also has a certain effect on the quality of the cable.
It is well known that the function of the cable sheath is to protect the insulated core of the cable from damage under the action of external force and play a protective role. If the thin point of the sheath production fails to meet the requirements, the cable sheath will be damaged under the normal large external destructive force.
If the thickness of the sheath is lower than the standard requirements in production, it is unqualified, and the thickness exceeds the standard requirements.
